Now trying Greader on the phone. This better be worth it!

It's not as great on the phone. The whole "river of news" layout
that I like is missing from the mobile version. The new beta of
Bloglines mobile does a good job with the river of news layout, but
since I'm so invested in GReader, I deal with GReader mobile's
limitations.
Well I used to be a Bloglines fanatic. But the Beta's bugs (on
the pc) have become unbearable. Tried Greader mobile. It's decent,
could be a lot better though. Anyway, I never used the 'river'. I'm
old skool. I like if it presents me with the list of my subs (in
the order I put them- Bloglines did that, GR does not, it sorts
alphabetically, which is stupid), and number of unread items each
has.
The reason I like this approach is simple. In my mind, the
blogs/sites I subscribe to have a hierarchy, some are more
important, some not. And I wouldn't like to scroll through dozens
of 'rather unimportant' stories before I can get to what matters,
especially when I have limited time to check RSS.
Yeah, I like the river of news layout because I'm a skimmer, and
I rely a lot on any pictures included with the stories, especially
at sites like Engadget. So seeing a list of headlines in the
non-river layout in GReader (regular, not mobile) is not as
appealing to me.
I do agree that when I'm on GReader mobile, though, that having
the text headlines instead of the river layout can be pretty
efficient. I just don't like having to keep going back a couple
pages to get to the overview list after I've read an article
and starred and/or shared it.

I actually rather enjoy Greader mobile, as it allows me to filter through MUCH faster than the river of news would.
